Today for the podcast, we are very excited to bring you the first a few mini-episodes from the 2017 CARFAC National Conference/AGM that was held early June 2017 at the MacEwan University in Edmonton. It was such a great weekend full of insight from people all over Canada that care about the rights of arts and culture workers and Visual Arts Alberta – CARFAC was happy to host.

The episode for today is a short talk from Kristian Clarke, who was a member of our Building Your Career Panel. Kristian Clarke, Senior Projects Manager at Canadian Actors Equity Association, talks about how professional organizations like CAEA and CARFAC enable artists to become more professional in their practice, and the tools that a professional association can provide that can empower artists in building their career.
