January 25

If you’re coming in to work on personal artwork, you are welcome to arrive at Noon.

Join Danyon Reeves (Operations Coordinator for CARFAC Alberta) this Saturday in the CARFAC Alberta Project Space (Edmonton) from 1–4pm to learn how to resize your artwork for submissions and grants.

For many, the world of computer image format and sizing can be daunting. Be it for your website, or electronic submissions for shows or grants, it’s in your best interest to know how your digital images are being presented. Too small of an image robs the viewer of detail, and too large can make for slow download times and grumpy juries. Danyon Reeves can guide you through the subjects of image format, dimension, and resolution, so you can be sure you’re using the best approach to creating images that put your creation in the best possible light.

If you have a laptop that you use for working with digital images, bring it along. Danyon might not be familiar with the software you use, but he’s pretty sure he can figure out how to produce the right images with it.

Sharon Moore-Foster will also be in Project Space, available for informal critiques or any art-related questions you may have.
