 Job Description Untitled Art Society is seeking a full-time summer student for the role of Outreach and Membership Coordinator. The Outreach and Membership Coordinator will work closely with the Director and the Programming and Facilities Coordinator to conceive of a membership event to take place at Untitled Art Society within the duration of the employment opportunity. The position will also entail supporting summer outreach programs, including our community garden by Tiffany Shaw-Collinge, our inaugural Stampede artist-in-residence, and a film screening series. The Coordinator will aid with marketing and information circulation, including social media, and will assist with administrative and artistic tasks required to run the gallery and studio spaces. Requirements Candidates should have an interest in and some experience with artist-run culture and contemporary art, and should be a student in Visual Art, Art History, Curatorial Studies, Studio Art, or a related discipline. Two or more years of post-secondary education an asset. This position requires communication with artists, staff, members of the organization, and community members; candidates should be able to communicate effectively over email, phone, and IRL. The ideal candidate will be organized, interested and engaged in contemporary art, and keen to learn about the ways in which artist run centres work. Under the terms and conditions of Canada Summer Jobs, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 3; and, be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
