About the Webinar:
In this interactive webinar, we will look at how cultivating collective care can counteract the systemic and structural impacts and challenges of colonization. Using the cultivating safe spaces (CSS) framework designed and shared by Elaine Alec of the Syilx and Secwepemc Nations, the CEO of Naqsmist, we will explore the following questions: how can we understand ourselves on this land, how can we see from multiple perspectives, how can we value the interconnection between ourselves and all beings and land, how can we practice multiple expressions of care, and how can we differentiate between colonization and decolonization in the arts?
